Six watts or ten, and where each goes

The double dome gives 750 lumens from 60 LEDs and draws 6 watts, about half an amp from a 12 volt battery. Its switch lights one side or both, so a late reader in one bunk does not wake the other, and it also works from a wall switch. The wires are non-polar, so neither lead has to be told apart from the other. Four screws and two wire nuts come with each light, and you can buy one, two or four at a time.

The panels are for the spots where you cook or sit at the table. Each one puts out 1,500 lumens at 10 watts, roughly 0.8 amp at 12 volts. One switch steps through 3500K warm, 4500K natural and 6500K cool white, and two more set the brightness in five steps from 20 to 100 percent. At 0.63 inches deep and 16.5 by 6.3 inches across, a panel sits nearly flat on the ceiling and leaves you headroom. Unlike the dome, the panel wires have a polarity, red to positive and black to negative. Both lights sit on the RV shelf of the Miady catalog, next to the trailer wiring.
