How we work
How we keep the Miady catalog current
What changes on miady.co, how often, and where each figure on a product page comes from.
Prices
We update prices on a schedule, and the whole catalog moves at once rather than one product at a time. The catalog was last updated on October 2, 2026. A price can still change between that update and the moment you open your cart. Where the two differ, the price at checkout is the one you pay.
What leaves the site and what comes back
When a capacity, a pack size or a color stops being offered, it leaves the site at the next update. Nothing is erased from our product data, so once it is offered again, it returns by itself on the update after that. A product with no price at all steps off the site the same way and comes back the same way.
Where the specs come from
Capacity, output in watts, amps, volts, wire gauge, length and pack counts come from our own product data. If two descriptions of the same product disagree, you see the narrower figure, or no figure. Watt-hours are worked out rather than copied: capacity in mAh times 3.7 volts, divided by 1,000. By that sum a 10,000mAh bank holds 37 Wh, and a 20,000mAh bank holds 74 Wh.
Ratings
Star ratings belong to a product family, not to one color or one pack. Every color of a given power bank shares a single pool of reviews, so that pool is counted once. A total across the catalog adds each family a single time, however many colors and packs it comes in. Products too new to have reviews show no stars at all, rather than a figure borrowed from a neighbor on the shelf.
Sources
Our guides lean on public sources: the FAA and TSA on carrying lithium batteries, the Consumer Product Safety Commission on extension cords, OSHA on portable generators and the EPA on used household batteries. We read each of them on October 2, 2026, and each is named with a short note on what it says. When a source changes its advice, the guide that cites it changes too.
